Into Africa 2019

This project was started three years ago when I went on a photo safari. Our group was planning to go to a Masai village and I noticed that the women there were hauling water from terrible water sources. This looked very unhealthy to me so I decided to take some community size water filters with me to help them. We put one in their school and another in the village to give them disease free drinking water.

Since then I have been to 5  African villages to deliver community size water filters and several hundred mosquito bed nets (helps prevent malaria) to 4 semi nomadic villages in rural areas.

I also took hundreds of malaria bed nets with me as contracting malaria from mosquitoes is also a huge health problem for villagers. The mortality rate for children is 1 in 5. That is scary!

Thank you so much for your support and social shares are also deeply appreciated!

See photos below from one of the villages this recent FEB 2019 project.
