For International Women's Day, UWE Esports Society has decided to come together with other universities around the United Kingdom to raise money for charities supporting women. Through a VALORANT tournament, teams will decide on the charity they are playing for, and the money raised will be distributed to these teams:
1st Place: 50% of funds raised
2nd Place: 30% of funds raised
3rd Place: 20% of funds raised
The charities involved will be:
- Action Aid - Raising money to end period poverty in rural and urban communities across Asia, Africa and Latin America.
- Refuge - Supporting women and children in a campaign against domestic violence.
- Women at WISH - Developing support services for women struggling with mental health.
