WE NEED YOUR HELP AGAIN THIS YEAR!
In a year that's shown the worst of humanity, with many centres attacked and one even set on fire as kids slept, we need show the best of Ireland and our generosity to children in International Protection and Homeless Accommodation this Christmas.
Times are tough for everyone, but imagine spending your childhood in International Protection or Homeless Accommodation through all of this. For many of these kids, Christmas can feel like just another difficult day. We’re here to change that—and we need your help to make it happen.
Together, We’ve Made a Huge Difference.
Thanks to all you sound heads, we've been able to demonstrate the generosity of Irish people to thousands of children over the years. Since 2018, what began with gifts for 100 kids in Clondalkin has grown into a powerful community effort, reaching children in Direct Provision/International Protection across Ireland. Every year, our collective effort has grown, and with it, the impact you’ve had on so many young lives. In recent years we have also been able to donate substantial amounts of gifts to Focus Ireland for families in their services.
As one 7 year old told us from a centre last year "thank you for not forgetting about us".
Our Goal for 2025: A Brighter Christmas for Children in International Protection Centres and Homeless Accommodation.
This year we’re setting a target to raise €60,000 to get as many gifts as we can for children in International Protection Provision and Homeless Accommodation —it is something that brings a sense of belonging.
With your help, we can continue this legacy of solidarity and kindness.
How You Can Help:
Due to the volume of gifts, we’re mainly accepting donations online this year to help streamline purchasing and delivery. However if you are local to Dublin 7 physical gift donations are also welcomed at Bang Bang in Phibsborough (new and unwrapped gifts only, please respect the request for no large or second-hand items). Bang Bang opens 6 days per week (Tues-Sunday).
Every Donation Matters:
We are aiming for €25 per child, we’ll be working with Smyth's Toys and voucher providers to ensure as many children as possible have a meaningful gift. Bohemian FC along with trusted volunteers/groups will handle packing/sorting, while DHL Express Ireland has once again committed to delivering gifts directly to the centres.
A Better Future for All:
Let’s come together to make this Christmas season a little brighter for kids in difficult circumstance. Join us in showing them they’re valued and remembered.
