What is the CSA?
The Contemporary Skating Alliance (CSA) is an international, non-profit organization founded in May 2022.
We are a coalition of contemporary skating companies from Germany, France, Switzerland, Sweden, and the United States, representing the vibrant and diverse array of contemporary skating work unfolding worldwide. We're sharing resources and best practices, documenting the evolution of artistic skating, providing networking opportunities, and collaborating on events and performances.

Why GoFundMe?
We are poised to establish ourselves as a leading force for contemporary skating companies, and our inaugural event in November - the Performing Arts Project - will heighten our global visibility. As we continue to establish our network and platform, we can apply for international arts grants and offer our membership opportunities for research and collaboration in contemporary skating. The funds raised here will allow us to launch this non-profit foundation successfully and host a productive international conference.
If just 200 people donate 30€ to this campaign, we'll underwrite our startup costs and be able to fully launch our foundation.
Your donations will go directly toward:
- defraying business costs to maintain the status of the global nonprofit foundation;
- covering expenses for in-person events & performances (i.e., ice rental);
- providing a website & digital marketing to share resources and opportunities;
- offering travel stipends for skating artists to be able to collaborate, learn, and perform together in this community.

When Is Your Next Event?
This November 4-6, 2022, the CSA is thrilled to host its first official conference in Monéteau, France: the Performing Arts Project. This conference will feature presentations, workshops, and performances by leading contemporary skating companies. After more than 2 years of virtual meetings to develop & launch this foundation, the 2022 Performing Arts Project will offer an invaluable opportunity to deepen our research in the field through workshops, networking, and a one-night-only contemporary skating performance.
