In memory of my late father Mohammed Ashraf who passed away in December 2020 and my mother Azra Ashraf who passed away in February 2022, may Allah (swt) have mercy on your souls and grant you the highest place in Jannat al Firdous (Heaven)

I thank you for the life you gave me, the teachings and knowledge you passed on to me in particular helping those less fortunate than ourselves and the opportunity to continue with your legacy and Sadaqah Jariyah (continuous, flowing and ongoing charity).

My father has been helping the poorest and most needy men, women, and children in Kunjah for almost 25 years with your generosity and support. Last year the scheme "Helping Humanity" supported over 700 families mainly female widowers with no income, and those families who are destitute.

The charities aim is to support the most needy.

1. Providing food packages or cash equivalent to the poorest families in Ramadhan so they do not have to worry about where their next meal is coming from and can participate in the holy month of Ramadan. The food parcels consist of, 20kg flour, 5kg sugar, 5kg rice, 5kg ghee, and 5kg daal/channa. I am hoping to raise funds for at least 750 families.

2. Eid- ul-Fitr - (fitrana and saddqah donations) 450 of the poorest families and widowers are given cash grants of Rs. 3000, 4000 and 5000 according to the size of the family to support them on Eid

3. For 50 of the neediest families i.e., those who live in extreme poverty or are seriously ill and have no or very little income we want to pay cash grants of Rs 25000 to Rs 50000. This covers supervised capital projects to improve housing conditions by building new roofs, repairing walls, and installing sanitation. These case-by-case basis applications will be reviewed by our team and funding will be used towards minor surgery and medication bills. Some funding will also be used for business start-ups so families can become self-sufficient in terms of income or require less financial assistance, and payment of school fees so child labour is reduced.

last year £19537 was raised in order to carry out this amazing work and we are grateful to the existing donors for their support and welcome new donors.

My father also produced a detailed report which was distributed to all donors accounting for every penny that was spent and recording every family and person that benefited from the scheme he set up many years ago.

Haroon is my cousin who tirelessly helped my father after all these years, now it is my time to emulate what my father has done, I hope you can help, -together we can make a difference and change lives.
