I run, You help, We make a change.
For some reason I've decided to run another marathon.
I finished the London marathon in 2022 and am now embarking on the Inverness Marathon which is 42 picturesque kilometres along the Loch Ness.
And while this action might be a tightrope walk on the edge of my sanity we might as well do something good for the mental health of others.
Being autistic myself I am experiencing the beauty of the neurodiverse mind first hand as well as the obstacles that it brings just trying to live one's everyday life. I feel very strongly that just talking openly about it makes a huge difference let alone supporting organisations which reach out and help people directly.
We will be raising money for the National Autistic Society. The goal is simple - the more money we raise, the better we can help. Whether that's a pint's worth or a slightly more generous donation, every penny will make a change (ayyyy).
Thank you for your help and mindfulness! I will be thinking about you while chatting to Nessy in the last few deliric kilometres of the marathon.
More information about The National Autistic Society: Founded in 1962, we are the UK's leading charity for autistic people and their families. Our goal is to help transform the lives, change attitudes and create a society that works for autistic people.
