My name is Sheila, a proud Pittsburgh native and recent silver medalist at the 2025 Senior Olympic Games in Des Moines, Iowa. At 57 years young, my journey has been shaped by faith, determination, and countless hours of training. I believe I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Growing up in the Hill District, I found my passion for sports on the community fields, which fueled my dreams and led me to become an Olympic medalist. My achievements, including gold and silver medals from the State Olympic Games, have solidified my commitment to active aging and serving as a role model for others.

Now, I want to give back to the Hill District by installing a billboard that celebrates senior achievement and encourages others to pursue their passions. The billboard will feature my image with my medals and team photos from the National Games, displayed right in the neighborhood where my journey began. My hope is that seniors in our community will feel inspired, determined, and proud when they see it—and that they’ll be motivated to join the Seniors Western PA Community Teams, preparing themselves to compete at the state and national level.

Funds raised will cover the costs of the billboard, professional photos, and installation. The payment deadline for the billboard is October 13, 2025, with the display running from October 20, 2025, through January 11, 2026. With your support, we can extend the display even longer and continue inspiring seniors in the Hill District to reach for their dreams.
