Launch the Solarium Student Design Team—Help Us Build the Future

We’re assembling a student design team to launch the foundation and build something that lasts. This isn’t just about training young creators—it’s about creating a system that fuels local impact, drives economic development, and builds self-sustaining opportunities for students, businesses, and communities.

These students aren’t sitting in a classroom; they’re working on real-world projects that will shape the future of their communities. The team will design media, branding, marketing campaigns, and content that power three key projects:

The Community Art Magazine – A student-driven publication featuring local artists, writers, and creators, giving them a platform while training students in publishing, journalism, and graphic design.

The Spotlight Film Series – A documentary and storytelling project that highlights local businesses, innovators, and community leaders, training students in filmmaking, editing, and storytelling while promoting the local economy.

The Economic Development Research Project – A deep dive into how communities can build sustainable, locally driven economies. Students will gather data, conduct interviews, and create media that businesses and local leaders can use to strengthen their communities.

To get this team off the ground, we need startup capital. Your donation will fund:

Training & Education – Workshops, hands-on instruction, and mentorship from industry professionals.

Gear & Software – Cameras, design tools, editing software—everything they need to create high-quality work.

Field Experiences – Real-world projects, on-site learning, and direct involvement in the communities they’re serving.

Foundation Staff & Mentors – Experts guiding the students, helping them refine their skills and build something meaningful.

The Chain Reaction

This isn’t a one-time project. The first student design team we build will lay the foundation for others. Once trained, they’ll help form and mentor the next team, which will go into the next community and do the same. It’s a system designed to spread—creating a chain reaction of local content, creative industry jobs, and sustainability across multiple communities.
