Help Me Take My Advocacy for PCOS & Women’s Health to the Miss California Stage!
Dear friends, family, and incredible community,
As Miss San Francisco 2025, and a Global Finalist for the Women Changing the World Awards, I am honored to represent our beautiful city—but my journey to Miss California is about so much more than a crown. I’m competing to amplify a mission that is deeply personal to me: fighting for women’s health equity, raising awareness about Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), and ensuring that no one struggling with hormonal health feels unheard.
This isn’t just a cause—it’s part of my story.
At 11 years old, I started growing a beard on my face, a symptom of PCOS. I faced chronic fatigue syndrome, weight gain, cystic acne, hair loss, and other hormonal imbalance related symptoms, yet spent years struggling to receive a proper diagnosis and proper care.
The shame, confusion, and isolation I felt as a young girl shaped me—but it also gave me purpose. I refuse to let another girl grow up feeling invisible in the healthcare system. Through PCOS Alliance, I am creating early intervention programs, advocating for holistic healthcare solutions, and bringing resources to underserved communities.
How You Can Help:
To bring PCOS awareness and my advocacy work to Miss California, I am raising $7,500 towards supporting both my mission and the American Heart Association.
This isn’t just about me. It’s about every girl who has ever felt dismissed in a doctor’s office, every woman who has been told her symptoms are “normal,” and everyone who has struggled to feel worthy of beauty, success, or love.
Your support is more than a donation—it’s a step toward changing the future of women’s health. No amount is too small, and every contribution fuels a movement that will impact lives for generations to come.
Thank you for believing in this mission and for being part of this journey.
With immense gratitude,
Inika Mehra
