The Inglewood Chess Club was founded with a simple goal: to create a space where chess lovers of all ages and skill levels connect, learn, and grow together. What started as a passion project has evolved into a movement that has grown the chess community in Inglewood.
Through chess, we teach strategic thinking, patience, and discipline—skills that benefit players beyond the board. Whether it’s helping a child build confidence or giving adults a space to challenge themselves, we are committed to growing a strong, connected chess community.
The LA Sentinel and CBS News recently highlighted our mission to make Inglewood a hub for chess. Featuring our events with the Inglewood Public Library and other local businesses that help make chess accessible to everyone.
But we need help to take the club to the next level.
Your support makes a BIG difference. Every donation helps us continue this work and expand our impact.
Your support will allow us to:
♟️ Purchase more chess boards and clocks so that more players can participate in our events.
♟️ Bring highly rated chess educators to teach and inspire our members.
♟️ Host official FIDE ranked chess tournaments in Inglewood.
Please consider sharing our campaign.
Together we can make Inglewood a thriving center for chess education and competition.
