Milwaukee's Industry Tip Jar

As of Monday, due to the rapid increase of Coronavirus (COVID-19) bars, restaurants and clubs in Milwaukee (and around the nation) have basically been shut down. An incredible amount of your friends and family in the Milwaukee service industry are out of jobs currently because of this pandemic. A list that is made up of bartenders, servers, DJ's, photographers, graphic designers, bar-backs, security and more there are many familiar faces with no revenue coming in at the moment. Myself included I've lost almost $2,000 in cancelled gigs just in the last week and a half.
I am lucky enough right now to not necessarily need the money but some of us in the industry are not. That is why I am starting this campaign. To help others in the industry. I will use the money donated and distribute it to industry friends in need. Any and all money donated would help. After talking to many people who are currently being affected I set a rather hefty goal to try and accommodate at least 50-100 industry friends if possible! I know most of us are losing anywhere from $200-$1000's a week. I will use this to help all that I can but the many people in Milwaukee's service industry I'll be starting with just 20 people. 10 chosen by myself and staff of the venues who we think need it most, and 10 that will be randomly selected from a sign up via social media. If/when we hit $10,000 then I'll select another 20 people and start over! Hopefully there is an abundance so I can help more than I'd even imagined while creating this!
Our business and our livelihood has been put on hold until further notice which could be weeks into months. As you can expect, this has and will continue to cause a great deal of stress and anxiety for all of us as we continue to wait for things to return to normal.
We ask that if you can provide any sort of relief to our employees, it would mean the world during these difficult times. Any relief whether small or big, monetary or not, would go a long way! We ask too if you or anyone you know has solid advice, tips, or job opportunities please SHARE, we are all in this together! I understand that many people outside of the service industry alone will struggle with quarantines and other places being closed that have them lose out on work too. ALL help will be greatly appreciated!
