A large family of 20+ elders, babies, & teens, all live without a bathroom.

Spiritual leader Mamo Senchina of the Kogi tribe, is in need of a compost toilet for his land and family!

Mamo and his family always go above and beyond for others, this time, they need our help.

They desperately need a safe, clean, and sanitary compost toilet to improve their lives! Especially during coronavirus times!

this is where they live  ⬇️

This land and community will one day be a future ancestral school for spiritual learning.

WHAT IS AN ECO/DRY TOILET / BAÑO SECO?

A dry toilet is a compost toilet that turns human waste, eventually, into compost for the Earth. Sawdust or ash is sprinkled after each use, and eliminates all smell and bad bacterias.

Eco or dry toilets are affordable, fast, safe, and effective ways to dispose of human waste when living off grid.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN WHEN WE SAY  “MAMO”?

The title “Mamo” in the Kogi nation is regarded as the highest authority, the “shaman”, seer, elder to seek for life guidance. They are put through rigorous initiations as young children that prepare them for this role in life as community leader and guide.

WHO IS MAMO SENCHINA?

Mamo Senchina is an authentic spiritual leader, teacher, world traveler, guide, and humble elder sharing the wisdom that was passed down to him from his grandfather.

Mamo left his home deep within the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, to the 'Muiska' territory outside of Bogota where he relocated with his wife & family, to live and share their teachings to those ready to listen.

Mamo sees that our world is deeply out of balance, and now is the time for people to come together to learn, evolve, and transform, so we may continue to care for our planet and live in a good way.

WHO ARE THE KOGI PEOPLE?

The Kogi tribes of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, have long been revered as the mot secretive and secluded of indigenous nations.

When the conquistadors took over Colombia, the Kogi tribes retreated deep into the Sierra Nevada mountains to survive.

Many people have sought out Mamos wisdom and guidance in life, but access to the Kogi Mamos in their home territory is extremely limited.

Outsiders are banned from entering the Sierra without a guide, for fear of corruption and destruction that (we) the “younger brother” have so often brought with us wherever we go.

The Kogi have watched as their sacred spaces have been destroyed and abused by the younger brothers. But Mamo still holds unwavering love and devotion to all of humanity and our planet Earth.

Kogi elder Mamo Senchina & his family, have left the forest in order to share, travel, heal,  and teach humanity to live in a good way so we may continue to care for the beautiful planet that we all share.

This is how the Kogi Women in the Sierra traditionally carry babies >>> over their heads! ❤️

WHY NOW?

Mamo Senchina and his family were given permission to live on land in the countryside outside of Bogota, until they could earn enough money to buy the land themselves.

They have come here to share their wisdom and teachings with those who are ready to listen.

They have built two humble Malokas that house their family of twenty, one structure is for women and the other for the men.

For many years Mamo has traveled the globe to conferences, retreats, festivals, and events in effort to teach the people and spread awareness of his mission 1for his land, project, school, and family.

This land is not just for himself or his family though. It will be a  center of learning and wisdom for ALL OF US.

Recently a generous donation has come through which will  enable them to finally be able to make the land purchase! ❤️

✨✨✨BUT IT COMES WITH ONE CONDITION !!!✨✨✨

The current land- owner requires that FIRST an ecological Composting toilet  be installed and a permaculture design be implemented to minimize impact on the land and care for the waters.

Not only will this drastically improve their lives in basic and immediate ways, but it will provide the infrastructure necessary to begin receiving the high demand of visitors and students to their center.

This eco baño project is happening NOW.

HOW WILL THE FUNDS BE ALLOCATED?

We will transfer 100% of the funds to trusted individuals & students of Mamo on the ground in Colombia to receive the funds and buy the materials needed.

All the labor is being donated to Mamo and his family free of charge.

A simple dry toilet will literally change their lives.

Around $1000 will be used to build the composting toilets, and any extra funds will be allocated for permaculture design.

PERMACULTURE DESIGN

Any and all excess funds will be used to implement a permaculture design for the land.

This way, Mamo & family can grow their own vegetables and be self-sustainable in our ever changing world.

THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING !!

Big plans are in the works for the future of Mamos land.

Mamos home will soon become a community gathering place that we will all be able to travel to, where we can learn ancestral wisdom, sing, share, dance, and heal together with our Kogi family.

It will be known as the SCHOOL OF LIFE

We look forward to the time when we can invite you all there.

Lets get first things first though.

Lets build them a baño!

ABOUT THE ORGANIZERS

We have been students of Mamo Senchina since 2015 when he spiritually married my parter and I.  At the time, we were going through tumultuous waves in our relationship, and with Mamo's guidance, he set us on the right track to find harmony and happiness together again.

Ever since, we have been traveling with Mamo to help him share his teachings and spread his message around the world.

He has joined us & traveled with us to Alaska, Peru, Miami, and we continue to collaborate and connect these days, virtually.

We have organized retreats and journeys for Mamo to share his teachings because of how he impacted our lives so profoundly. We knew  others needed his messages as well.

We are so grateful for your love, understanding, and support!

Below are some of our photos & videos of Mamo doing incredible work around the world:

Thank you for taking this journey with us, and being a part of our world!

Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

We'll post photos of the baños as soon as they begin the process!
