Scroll below to read my update posted on July 26, 2021, Thank you!

Nation Unsevered was able to raise over $26,000 in 2019 thanks to each of YOU who have donated.  We partnered and supported Indigenous led organizations to help get the Grizzly Bear back on the Endangered Species List, raise over 25 billboards Nationwide to build awareness for the MMIWG (Murdered and Missing Indigenous Women & Girls) crisis and partially funded the new MMIWG documentary, Somebody's Daughter that was released in December, 2019.

Our next fundraising goal will help us launch House of the Moon w/ the Indigenous Women and Girls Empowerment & Self-Defense Training Program.  To find out more go to:  House of the Moon

House of the Moon's Facilitator Training program's mission is to empower and restore agency in Indigenous women, girls and communities, forever changing the trajectory of the MMIWG* crisis.

House of the Moon uses a holistic '4-Directions' approach with Physical, Mental, Emotional and Spiritual Empowerment & Self-Defense curricula to directly reduce the incidents of rape, murder and kidnapping for trafficking on reservations and in urban areas with large Indigenous populations.

The program is intended as a powerful response for empowerment, prevention, recovery and healing of victims, families and communities impacted by MMIWG.

Our goal with this round of funding is to launch a pilot program in October 2020 (we are pivoting to online training program instead of in-person training in response to Corona virus).  Funds will be used in order for 4-7 Indigenous women facilitators from multiple Reservations and Urban areas to be trained in the program curricula, which includes a virtual immersion retreat. After each Facilitator completes the 100 hour training ,which will include holistic care, traditional knowledge and a strong support network, they will go back to their respective communities and hold gatherings and classes to help empower and strengthen their communities, a train the trainers format.

*MMIWG numbers in 2016 from the Department of Justice were approximately 6,000 victims and numbers are growing.  We can estimate that since 2016 over 26,000 Native women and girls have become victims of MMIWG in the United States alone and numbers are comparable in Canada.

House of the Moon believes that IT IS POSSIBLE to reduce and stop MMIWG.  We know that with many hands and hearts joining together, with the focus on empowering our Indigenous women and girls, change is possible even with these odds.  Indigenous women are the most resilient, resourceful and creative people in the world.  By reminding women of their inherent power as life-givers and by giving them necessary support structures, change can and will happen!

All funds raised here, will continue to support any and all efforts related to MMIWG, Tribal Sovereignty and Protecting Sacred beings and the Earth from further desecration.
