Index Potty Fund

Honey Bucket time, y'all! Keep poop out of the river and TP out of the forest. Help fund two port-a-potties for the river campground (aka Wagon Wheel aka Sportsmen's Area) in Index, WA. Honey Buckets were previously provided by the Forest Service, but were removed at the start of the pandemic and the Forest Service will no longer provide the service - hence this GoFundMe!

NOTE: The Honey Buckets funded by this GoFundMe will be located at the river campground and parking lot across from the gun club (i.e. not the LTW lot). This is separate from the new toilet at the Lower Town Wall. Maintenance of that toilet is covered by the Washington Climbers Coalition (WCC).

Costs:

Honey Bucket: $155.50/month, includes weekly pumping/cleaning

Hand Sanitizer: $25/month

Damage waiver: $15.50/month

Total monthly cost: $196 per toilet

Drop-off fee: $100

Here's the plan:

1 Honey Bucket from March 15 - November 15*: $1568

2nd Honey Bucket added June 1 - September 1* to accommodate more people and avoid the rising tide: $588

*Dates are approximate and may be adjusted depending on usage and weather conditions.

Total annual toilet cost: $2256

2-year cost: $4512

Donation to Town of Index for Doolittle Park toilet maintenance and water usage: $250/year

Grand total: $5012
