A small win, but an important one. However, that is only 13 days, or 9 business days, to raise the funds, contract the experts and then give them next week to come to the site and build their reports.

Horne & Associates say this independent evidence will be crucial to our case!

They will investigate the Metropolitan Open Land argument themselves, but we cannot put all our eggs in the MOL basket. Without independent surveys to challenge the YMCA's evidence on light, sound and biodiversity, they believe our case is considerably weaker.

Each of these experts is likely to cost at least £2k + VAT, plus some expenses, so I am going to set up a new GoFundMe with a target of £8k.

If it was just the same 29 of us again, and I really hope it will be more, each of us would need to donate roughly 2.5 times what we did before. So if you donated £100 before, that would mean donating £250 this time.

I know many of us have already put a significant amount of money into this, and I don't underestimate what I'm asking. But unfortunately we now need to make another personal decision about what stopping or changing this proposal is worth to each of us, and put in what we can now, rather than waiting to see whether somebody else will.

We've bought ourselves some time. Now we need to use it.
