Incredible Edible Mid-Peninsula

Donation protected
Incredible Edible Mid-Peninsula started back in 2014 planting fruit trees in Redwood City public places. We planted about 24 fruit trees in two irrigated sites at Red Morton Park. We just had a new planting in February on the corner of Vera Avenue and Alameda de las Pulgas. This site did not have irrigation and we allowed the rains to provide the water until just very recently.

We had to hire someone to lay the piping and provide the water to eight fruit trees. We need to fund raise to pay the $900 share of cost for this water delivery (the other half is being paid by City Trees). We also want to buy three 18" x 18" signs to inform the public about our three orchards. Each sign will be $45 so we will need a total of about $1000.

Please visit the three orchards to see our work. The whole point is the public fruit trees are for anyone to help themselves as they pass by. One Red Morton orchard is behind the McGarvey baseball field, one is at the senior center garden. The apricots are getting ripe and you may be able to help yourselves sometime soon!
Vera Orchard Planting

The trees are very healthy and we prune them twice a year to keep them 7 feet or lower so no one will need a ladder to enjoy the fruit.

Please consider helping us with this fundraising to pay for this orchard and hopefully we can continue to plant public fruit trees throughout Redwood City and the Peninsula.
