At the end of July, OO Driver Ricardo Marcano and Erb OSD Coordinator Nadia Garhy faced a devastating house fire that destroyed their home and all of their belongings. Thankfully, Ricardo, Nadia, their four children, and their beloved dog escaped unharmed.

This tragedy struck at an especially challenging time as the family was in-between homes, awaiting the completion of their new house. This week, they’ve secured a temporary rental and are working hard to furnish it from scratch—beds, couches, appliances, and all the essentials. Their eldest daughter has just returned overseas to continue her studies, while the younger children are preparing to start school and need supplies and clothing.

While insurance claims are in progress, the immediate needs are overwhelming. Ricardo and Nadia are doing everything they can to rebuild their lives, but they could use a helping hand.

À la fin juillet, le chauffeur OO Ricardo Marcano et la coordonnatrice OSD d’Erb Nadia Garhy ont été victimes d’un incendie dévastateur qui a détruit leur maison et tous leurs biens. Heureusement, Ricardo, Nadia, leurs quatre enfants et leur chien s’en sont sortis sains et saufs.

Cette tragédie est survenue à un moment particulièrement difficile, alors que la famille était entre deux maisons, en attente de la fin des travaux de leur nouvelle maison. Cette semaine, ils ont trouvé une location temporaire et travaillent fort pour la meubler à partir de zéro — lits, divans, électroménagers et tous les articles essentiels. Leur fille aînée vient tout juste de repartir à l’étranger pour poursuivre ses études, tandis que les plus jeunes se préparent à retourner à l’école et ont besoin de fournitures et de vêtements.

Bien que les réclamations d’assurance soient en cours, les besoins immédiats sont accablants. Ricardo et Nadia font tout leur possible pour reconstruire leur vie, mais un coup de main serait grandement apprécié.
