Inari Gate in Honor of Alain Guillen

Hi, my name is Sofia Zamboli and I am Alain Guillen's stepdaughter. It has been almost a year since Alain passed away from lymphoma and leukemia. My sister Giulia and I want to do something special in honor of a year since Alain's passing. In just a week's time, my sister, my mother (Jen), and I will be traveling to Japan. This was a trip we were supposed to be taking with Alain.

Anyone who knew Alain on a personal level knows that he was a deeply spiritual person. One of the temples we will visit is the Fushimi Inari Temple in Kyoto, the one with the red gates. After some research, we discovered you can purchase one of those red gates in honor of someone. We thought that this would be a beautiful way to honor and memorialize Alain in Japan, a place we had planned to travel to together.
