This past weekend, our family lived through one of the scariest moments of our lives one we will never forget.
In a matter of seconds, a car accident changed everything. Kinsley suffered a concussion, and Brendan’s injuries were so serious that he had to be flown by helicopter to Lutheran Hospital. Watching your child be airlifted, not knowing what comes next, is a fear no parent is ever prepared for. James and I were left with bumps and bruises, but the emotional impact of that day has been overwhelming.
By some miracle, we are all still here. And that is something we thank God for every single day.
Our vehicle, however, was totaled. As a family of six, losing our main vehicle has hit us hard. We are now down to one car that cannot safely fit all of our children and both parents. Getting to work, school has become a daily source of stress at a time when we are already emotionally exhausted.
While insurance slowly moves forward, bills are already arriving. The costs are piling up, and we are trying so hard to keep life feeling “normal” for our kids when everything feels anything but normal.
Asking for help is not easy. It’s humbling and uncomfortable, but right now we are doing everything we can just to stay afloat and keep our family moving forward. Any support no matter how small will help cover medical expenses and assist us in securing reliable transportation for our family.
If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser means more than you know. Thank you for taking the time to read our story, for your prayers, and for supporting our family during one of the hardest moments of our lives.
We are incredibly grateful for your kindness, and for the fact that we are all still together.
