Hey everyone, 

We’re just going to be completely transparent about our situation. The last 6 months have been some of the hardest of our lives. But let me tell you, GOD IS IN CONTROL. Although we have deeply struggled, we have also seen Him work in ways that only He could. We’ll share some of that as we share our story. 

I almost don’t know where to begin. Eric has been in daycare for almost two years but we have struggled to pay for it. The daycare bill was $180 a week and that was the cheapest in the area. The math shouldn’t have worked out but God allowed us to send him there up until July of this year. He then opened a door for Eric to go to public school in our county. The school he was assigned is 30 minutes from our house and an hour away from work. But The Lord knew we could no longer afford daycare and provided.

As we were finding out about the change, Michael’s dad lost his long battle with leukemia. Let me tell you, I was dumb. I cried in the bathroom at work and kept telling God Michael and his family aren’t ready for this. They’ve never experienced a loss like this. Having been there before I just knew they couldn’t handle it. God spoke to me and then showed me in the days to come that I’m right they can’t BUT HE CAN! I have seen a strength, resilience, grace and encouragement in a way I didn’t see possible but God knew. 

Right around the time Michael’s dad passed, we found out Michael’s place of work was having financial troubles. They were a week behind on paychecks but assured us they would have things straightened out by the end of the week. Well the week ended and then two more ended before we saw his first check due a month prior. The Lord continued to work all things together for our good and Michael reached out to a company he worked for in the past and they said they should have a position opening up soon. 

The Lord is teaching us patience because that was about three weeks ago. He has provided consistently for us and I know He will continue to do so. I’m thankful these are things I don’t have to worry about because He holds tomorrow. 

This is not to say we haven’t already asked for help, there have been multiple family members on both sides of the family who have offered help to pay some of the bills we are behind on. We’re posting this more publicly because I don’t want to continue to ask the same people for financial help if The Lord can allow others to help as well. Also, because more than anything we need prayer. Please pray with us for financial relief, guidance and that God can use us in this trial to further His kingdom. 

We are about two months behind on rent along with other bills. We have 5 days to pay the rent or move out.

We have joked recently that we’re in our Job era. Obviously, we are not in the same boat as Job nor are we claiming to be the man God knew Job to be but that book has given so much wisdom and comfort the past few months.
