In Memory: Steve Smith #55 for his Beloved Family

Steve Smith, devoted husband and father, left this world suddenly and far too soon on June 20th, 2023.

Steve had an unwavering commitment to his wife, Amy, and their three children; Taylor (13), Christopher (11) and Jackson (9). Everything in Steve's life revolved around his family, protecting them, encouraging them, and making memories together. Steve was always the greatest champion of Taylor, Chris and Jackson, and he could often be found at community events supporting his children in their many activities and interests. We would love to come together as a community to carry on this support.

Taylor is a wonderful dancer, active on the school track team, and will be starting High School in the fall at Amherst High School. Chris is also an outstanding athlete and will be starting tackle football this fall as a 7th grader at Amherst Middle. Jackson is an incredible artist and will be finishing his elementary years next year at Windermere.

Steve grew up in the Town of Tonawanda and graduated Kenmore East High School. He cherished his years on the Ken East Football team and helped bring back alumni to field a team for several years - the highlight was their win in 2019 against rival Kenmore West.

Amy is the love of Steve's life and he convinced her to move to Buffalo after she graduated early from Slippery Rock University. Together, they built a beautiful partnership and a loving and close knit family. They never expected their time to be suddenly cut short.
