On Saturday, December 13, Winnie ingested a small amount of Xylitol, a generally safe human ingredient but highly toxic substance to dogs. She was rushed to the emergency vet, where she spent the last 5 days undergoing treatments, including plasma transfers, in the hopes of saving her. Sadly, despite round-the-clock care, Winnie did not make it.

I am starting this fundraiser to help out my parents who are dealing with immense and sudden grief on top of extraordinary veterinary bills.

We would do anything to have more time with her. Rest in peace, Winnie.
