On the day the flood came(June 14), my mom, my little brother Travis, and our three dogs were inside the house. They tried to escape, but the water rose too fast. They lived in Triadelphia, and their home—our home—was swept away, floating nearly two miles before it collapsed around them.

They fought with everything they had. My mom, Donna, miraculously made it out. She clung to a tree, screaming for help until a stranger heard her cries and pulled her to safety. But my sweet Travis… he didn’t make it. He was found unresponsive.

Travis was only 19, but his heart was bigger than most people twice his age. He would’ve given the shirt off his back to a stranger without hesitation. He was the kind of soul that lit up a room just by being in it—and he was loved by everyone who knew him.

We lost everything that day—our home, our three dogs, and most painfully, our baby boy. Any support means the world to us right now. We’re heartbroken, but holding onto each other as best we can.

His birthday is next month, please pray for our family
