My name is Josh and I am the owner of Hometown Barbell in Frederick Maryland.

We are heartbroken to share the news of the passing of our dear friend and gym family member, Thomas McGinley.

Thomas was more than just a member of our gym—he was a source of inspiration, positivity, and strength. Whether he was pushing himself or encouraging others to keep going, Thomas embodied the spirit of community and defines what it means to be a member at Hometown. He brought warmth, laughter, and motivation to everyone around him, and his absence leaves a profound void.
