In Memory of Steve Plehinger: Support Shyla

With heavy hearts, we share the news that Steve Plehinger, beloved husband to Shyla Tullos, passed away on August 26th, 2024. Steve touched the lives of so many people with his humor, kindness, and love for animals. His unexpected departure has left a void that words cannot fully express.

Steve Plehinger was a kind soul with a distinct sense of humor and unrelenting boyish charm. He was an avid fan of video games, horror movies, and collecting action figures. He loved playing Mortal Kombat and always went out of his way to make sure anyone who played against him had a fair chance at winning, no matter what. Any horror movie watched with him was one accompanied with trivia that only served to enhance the experience. His improv skills made him an incredible game master, and he loved heading any TTRPG session in need of one. Steve loved animals--especially ones that most people would write off as "gross" or "creepy" and saw the value they offered to our world. Steve's unique perspective and gentle demeanor will be missed by all of us.

As we come to terms with this profound loss, we are also faced with the financial burden of coping with such and unexpected event. The expenses associated with getting Steve's final affairs in order are more than Shyla can manage on her own. We are reaching out to you, our community, to ask for your support in covering these costs.

The total cost of all of these expenses is around $3000. This includes things like the cremation, funeral urn, cleaning up the house, and wages lost due to time spent out of work.
