A person's life can't be summarized in a GoFundMe caption, nor should it be. Hopefully as you read this your own memories of Rodney will help fill in the gaps. 

Rodney Patterson was a positive force to those who knew him. A lifelong football player who somehow always found the strength to be gentle. Rodney made people laugh, and he looked after those around him with a genuine caring and common sense.

His own greatest joys came from being a husband, and more recently a father.  His passing, both sudden and unexpected, leaves his goals for his young family incomplete, with a pre-existing heart condition disqualifying them from life insurance coverage.

Rodney never would have asked for your help, but if you're able to contribute towards funeral expenses, and to the life that he would have given his child, please do so.
