Hi everyone, it’s Brad Steer. Unfortunately as many of you know that on Thursday 14th April, my Dad Paul Steer passed away to Cancer. He has left behind me, my brother Nathan and his wife/best friend my Mum Karen Steer. It still doesn’t feel real right now and these last few days have been the hardest days of our lives. We are so grateful we have the best family and friends we could ever ask for who I can’t thank enough for their support and being there.

My Dad was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lymphoma at the beginning of May last year. Since being diagnosed my Dad has constantly been very unwell with no break and a very fast growing cancer with only weeks to live if he didn’t start treatment straight away. He has undergone 3 rounds of intense Chemo but unfortunately the Cancer came back every time somewhere else. In the end my Dads body just took enough beating and although he fought so hard and was so strong through all of this, it was now time for him to rest and not be in anymore pain.

People who know my Dad, know he has not gone through the easiest of the times with his health throughout his life. Life is not fair and I have learnt that bad things happen to good people. 54 was no age and he was way too young to be taken from us. Although his life was short, he said that he lived a great life and wouldn’t of changed anything.

I have set up this Gofundme page in memory of my Dad and to help cover the cost of the funeral for my Mum. She has been through enough in the last year so I want to do the best I can to support her and help. My Mum has been my Dads full time carer for the last year and she has just truly been absolutely amazing. There isn’t anyone else who could of done a better job!
