Hey my name is Sean and I'm fundraising for Enders Touch Foundation.
I will be running in the following two events
1. Lee Valley half marathon on the 21st of June starting at 9.30am
2. Richmond marathon on the 14th of September TBD.
I am doing this for my friends Hassan & Nadia for their son Ender. Who sadly got his Angel wings at the age of just 7.
While having a gene editing bone marrow stem cell transplant treatment.
Ender Nihat was diagnosed with a condition called Transfusion-Dependent Beta-Thalassemia.
It's a Blood condition, which the body can not produce healthy red blood cells meaning that not enough haemoglobin is produced to carry oxygen around the body.
Ender was diagnose with this condition from the age of 2 and had blood transfusions every four weeks.
I would be Very Greatful if you could sponsor me to raise funds to help Ender's Touch.
Since loosing Ender my friends have set up Enders Touch in the memory of their son. Which has been their saving grace and the only form of comfort the family get from this horrific devasting journey is to support and help children and families in need.
They have done great things already but have future projects of which needs regular funding. They are in the process of setting up days for Autistic and special needs children and families. There is nothing like this around there area and believe that families would benefit. Having a suitable place to gether for the children to play while parents can seak more help and support. In and around their area.
Their biggest dream is to set up Youth Centre for young children and teenagers giving them somewhere to go guiding and encouraging them. Tapping into their strengths and weaknesses, providing them with professional support and career services. Building communities, holding events to inspire & give positive guidance for families with young children and youths.
