In Memory of Nick Evans

Donation protected
With profound sadness and an extremely heavy heart, we announce the unexpected passing of Nickolas (Nick) Jay Evans on December 30th, 2024. A beloved father, son, brother, and friend, Nick left us far too soon, leaving behind his 10-year-old son, Christian, and his devoted 72-year-old father, Steven. A family and community are deeply grieving the loss of a man whose presence could light up any room and whose impact was felt by all who knew him.

Nick was a dedicated and loving father who cherished every moment with his son. He was Christian’s protector, mentor, and best friend. Their bond was built on love, laughter, and shared adventures—moments that will live on forever in Christian’s heart. Nick’s greatest joy was being a father, and his legacy will endure through the lessons, memories, and love he instilled in his son.

Nick also leaves behind his loving father, Steven, who will carry his son’s spirit in his heart. The pain of losing a child is beyond comprehension, yet we find comfort in the belief that Nick is now reunited with his beloved mother, Paula, and his brother, Steven, both of whom preceded him in death. Though we are left with an emptiness words cannot express, we find peace knowing Nick is embraced by those he loved most, watching over us as we continue to mourn his loss.

Nick proudly served in the U.S. Navy for 10 years, stationed at Pearl Harbor throughout his entire service. He served aboard the USS Fletcher, where he worked as an accountant. His time in the Navy exemplified the same courage, dedication, and sense of duty that defined his life. Nick’s commitment to his country and his shipmates is a testament to his unwavering loyalty and selflessness.

Nick’s life was one of joy and light. Whether through his infectious smile, his boundless kindness, or his unshakeable loyalty, he touched everyone around him. Though his time on earth was far too short, the love he gave, the memories he created, and the lessons he imparted will never be forgotten.

We take solace in the knowledge that Nick is now watching over his family, just as he did in life—with love and care. His physical presence may no longer be with us, but his spirit will forever guide and protect Christian, Steven, and all who loved him.

In lieu of flowers, we kindly ask for donations to be made to a trust fund established for his son’s future.

Rest in peace, Nick. You will be forever missed, always remembered, and never far from our hearts. We find comfort in knowing you are looking down on us, keeping us safe, and guiding us through the days ahead.
