We’ve decided to leave the goal at its current amount, as the generosity already shown has been incredible. Our family is walking through an unimaginable tragedy. In a sudden and devastating accident, sweet baby Nash lost his life, and his mother, Christie, was critically injured when a large industrial garage door collapsed on them. Christie sustained a crushed leg and underwent extensive surgery. She is now beginning a long and difficult road of recovery — physically, emotionally, and mentally.

The loss of Nash has left a hole in this family that words cannot describe. At the same time, Christie is facing months of healing and rehabilitation while carrying unbearable grief. No parent should ever have to endure this kind of loss, and no family should have to carry this much pain at once.

Ron is now stepping into the overwhelming role of caregiver, provider, and caretaker for their entire household — supporting Christie through recovery while also caring for their son, Brodie, and holding their family together through unimaginable heartbreak. The weight of grief, trauma, and daily life responsibilities is immense.

This fund has been created to help relieve the daily burdens of life so this family can focus on healing. The funds will be used for practical support such as home and yard maintenance, house cleaning, meals, childcare assistance for Brodie, and daily living needs. They may also help with finalizing services for Nash and other necessary support during this time.

Our hope is to surround Christie, Ron, and Brodie with care, stability, and love — removing as much stress as possible from everyday responsibilities so they can grieve, heal, and begin to find their footing again.
