In Memory of Nancy Martinez: Family Support

Hello, to all the friends and family of our beloved Nancy Martinez, we want to start by saying thank you! For being someone who brought joy to her life, for being able to support this amazing woman, and for being here today in this time to show her the impact she had in this world. This fundraiser is to help her family get through this time as orderly as possible as it is an untimely matter. Before her passing, she was starting her business and trying to embrace her love and passion in art with the craft of diamond painting, and hopefully soon we can share her creations with you all. With that, we want to ensure all her aspects of life are taken care of as respectfully as possible and give her the amazing send-off and afterlife care she deserves. She was a special, joyous part of our lives, and she left us with many precious moments we will hold in our hearts. Thank you again for helping and offering your support.

Alittle about Nancy

Nancy was a big part of our lives as a daughter, sister, friend, and coworker; she always showed her gracious heart. As a little girl Nancy was an amazing daughter she loved her parents and sister dearly. She was always a great student and with her kind heart she soon learned exactly what she wanted to do in life. From elementary school to graduating from John Jay college all the way to becoming Deputy Chief! Her accomplishments are admired by all those around her. We are so proud of all she has done. She also wanted to jumpstart herself in her passion for Diamond painting ! We love that she was so passionate and is able to share her art with us.

Nancy took her role as an aunt and Godmother as a tremendous honor! And we want to highlight that as our appreciation to her for being there for her 3 nieces and their entire lives. Whenever they needed her, she was always there. Navigating this time without her is their biggest challenge in life.

Her role as a daughter , always! being there for her parents, for her father who she stood beside till his last breath, her best friend in life. May they both find each other.

Her loving mother, who she loved so dearly, words cannot measure the bond they have. A love that will forever live in their hearts.

Her role as a sister to her sister and brother-in-law, who have been riding with her always! This life would not be the same without her here. She is so monumental to them they will never fill this hole in their hearts.

Her role as a partner to her beloved boyfriend Lou, who was the love of her life, who loved and cherished her dearly. We thank God they found each other in life and filled it with love!

Her role as a friend, to all her friends and coworkers who she treated like family! She treated everyone in her life with love and respect. She always wanted to make people feel comfortable, being that person you can call on no matter what! She was always willing to help; that was her goal in life, and I can happily say she accomplished what she wanted since she was a little girl, helping others!

Nancy also loved church and went every chance she could.

Into your gentle keeping, O Lord, we commend this child of God. Though our hearts are troubled, we find hope in your loving kindness.

May the angels lead you into paradise: may the martyrs come to welcome you.

May choirs of angels welcome you.
