Darragh’s 5K Run in Memory of My Dad Jamesie Gallagher

Hi, my name is Darragh.

On the 16th of November, I’ll be taking part in the Belfast City 5K Fun Run in memory of my amazing dad, Jamesie Gallagher, and to raise funds for Road Victim Support Northern Ireland–Donegal.

Road Victim Support Northern Ireland–Donegal provides help, comfort, and information to families who have lost loved ones through fatal road traffic collisions.

Since my dad’s passing, their kindness and support to my family have been truly incredible — and I want to give something back to help them continue their amazing work.

I know my dad will be cheering me on and smiling in disbelief — because I’ve never done anything like this before!

This run is my way of honouring him, keeping his memory alive, and helping others who find themselves facing the same heartbreak.
