In Memory of Ms. Martinez: Aid Gayla and Her Family

On Friday, March 28th, the entire Panther community was devastated by the loss of our beloved kindergarten teacher, Ms. Monica Martinez, who is no longer with us. Truly, this news brings sadness to all of our hearts.

As a kindergarten teacher, her dedication touched so many lives, including mine. She was a mentor to our children and an integral part of our teaching community. She made each child feel special. As a mom of one of her students, I am grateful for all the hugs and life lessons she gave my child. Ms. Martinez was a momma bear; it wasn’t uncommon to walk into her classroom to find one of her students curled up on her lap.

Our thoughts instantly go to her 3 children (ages 1, 20, and 22) who have suddenly lost their dear mother. She was their provider and the core of their family. Now it's time for us to support her children and family during this difficult time.
