In Memory of Michelle Curtis — Support for D’Vyne & Dwight

With broken hearts, we share the devastating news of the passing of our beloved Michelle Curtis on May 10, 2025. What began as a medical battle in May 2024 turned into a journey marked by strength, hope, and resilience. Michelle fought bravely through rehabilitation, even regaining the ability to walk. Despite her determination and progress, her health took a critical and unexpected turn.

On May 9, 2025, Michelle entered the hospital for what we believed would be a routine procedure to assess or replace stents. However, the situation escalated quickly, and she underwent major surgery. At first, we were told the surgery went well — but tragically, things took a sudden and heartbreaking turn. Michelle passed away the next day. While we’re not yet certain whether any mistakes were made, we are committed to finding out what happened.

Michelle was a devoted and loving mother to five children: Terez Terry, Kesi Wills, Deonte Curtis, Jailon Curtis, and her youngest, 7-year-old daughter D’Vyne Riley. She also leaves behind her loving partner, Dwight Riley, who now faces the unthinkable task of raising D’Vyne without her mother. The hardest moment of all — D’Vyne learned about her mother’s passing on Mother’s Day.

Our family is overwhelmed with grief. This has been a psychological, emotional, and financial blow that we were not prepared for. As we begin the process of saying goodbye to Michelle, we are reaching out to ask for your support.

We are raising $20,000 to help cover funeral and memorial expenses, and to support D’Vyne and Dwight as they navigate life without Michelle.
