In Memory of Michael 'Mighty Duck' Manson

On Saturday 19th December 2020 at the young age of 36, Michael ‘the hammer’ / ‘mighty duck’ Manson suffered a heart attack which he could not recover from and sadly passed away on Tuesday 22nd December.
Michael, a much-loved Son, Brother, Grandson, Uncle, Nephew, Partner to Jess, Daddy to Evie and Elliott and a friend to many will be missed immensely and has left a massive hole in the hearts of those he was close too. He was a bear of a man with a heart of gold who would help anyone out at the drop of a hat….. especially in his van!
It has come as a massive shock to his immediate and extended family who are struggling to come to terms with their loss, especially at this time where they were unable to say goodbye, or be there for each other as they normally would.
Many people have asked how they can show their support and I feel given the current COVID restrictions it is hard to pay your condolences, offer support in the ‘normal’ way or pay your respects to Michael’s family, so I have decided to create this crowd funding page in memory of Michael.
Michael made the selfless decision to become an organ doner and has gone on to give another person the ‘gift of life’ although not being able to make his own memories with his two absolutely amazing children and family.
Looking through the touching tributes to Michael I had to share a few (I hope you don’t mind):

• “Evie and Elliott are a credit to you and knowing a part of you will continue to live on in them will keep me going”
In addition to this – if you have not done so already please take the time to either attend a CPR course or familiarise yourself with the basic steps which will possibly give someone that best chance of survival following a heart attack. If anything positive is to come out of this tragic loss, it is saving another life.
All donations big or small will go a long way to making this awful situation a little easier on his loved ones in addition to making a donation to Pinderfields Intensive Care Unit where Michael was taken care of during his last days.
