This fundraiser is to raise funds for the Sunflower Cafe, Taibach in memory of our wonderful friend Mr Meyrick Sheen.

The Sunflower Cafe was established in October 2022 to support individuals and families living with Dementia in the Port Talbot area. Meyrick and his lovely wife Irene attended the very first meeting and became hugely valued regulars, enjoying the sense of warmth, support, friendship and community that we have enjoyed every Tuesday afternoon since then.

Always ready with a smile and a twinkle in his eye, Meyrick took part in many of the activities on offer, whether light exercise, an art class or a singalong with the ukulele band, and he will be sorely missed.

The Sunflower Cafe runs on donations and goodwill so every penny will go towards rent, refreshments and ensuring this consistent, much valued service continues to help others within the local community. Thank you.
