In memory of Melissa Julie (Friesen) Wilson

How do you describe Melissa? A daughter, sister, goddaughter, Mom and a grandmother. Melissa was adventurous, curious, outgoing, kind, a great friend to many, and a fantastic cook. She loved the forgaing, sailing, fishing and camping spending every moment she could outdoors. She was an amazing photographer and the most amazing artist.

Melissa touched so many lives. Growing up she modeled, was in school plays, designed a mural for her school, and was a very active member of Girl Guides. She loved all of these activities and all the people that she came in contact with were embraced by her warm heart and her wonderful smile. Most recently she drove a school bus and worked as an assistant care giver.

Family meant everything to Melissa. Melissa adored her four children Taylor, Haley, Bryn and Ryland and was a doting grandmother to her three grandchildren Karter, Aria and Delilah. Melissa had a loving relationship with her dad Kerby and stepmom Bev. Her sisters Stephanie and Laura were her best friends, and I was fortunate that she considered me her second Mom.

Last Friday our world crumbled when our dear Melissa was suddenly taken from us. Her children, grandchildren and other family members are now left to pick up the pieces. In the wake of her loss, our family is navigating emotional and financial challenges.

We are seeking assistance to help cover specific expenses funeral costs, and support for her children. Any contribution, no matter the size, would make a meaningful difference in easing this difficult transition and ensuring that we honor Melissa’s legacy in a way she deserves. For those of you who did not know Melissa please still consider helping her family during this painful time.
