Updating everyone as the family is beyond grateful for all the contributions so far. Maddi's sudden death has left his family and friends in shock and unbelievable sorrow. The fatal accident has left us heartbroken and full of grief. His presence is deeply missed. Maddi's time on Earth was tragically shortened by a driver doing an illegal u-turn as he returned home from a morning motorcycle ride to the mountains he loved. Maddi lived with love and kindness, and though he had pain and challenges he was on a path of healing. Thank you for remembering his beautiful character. His warmth and wit. His vitality and grit. Your generosity is very appreciated and sparks the hope we hold for his essence to live on through his love of friends and family, our Earth, skateboarding and motorcycle riding. The money will be used to help people pursue the passions that reflect Maddi's extraordinary spirit. A Celebration of Life and Thankfulness will be held May 7th, in Talent, Oregon, for Maddi's 37th birthday.

2/24/22 We created this fundraiser to continue supporting the community Maddi Heatherstone shared during his life.

Maddi's four brothers and parents have expressed this vision for using the funds.

“We wish that the money raised may be used to focus on a self-perpetuating grant to others. Maddi cared deeply about the Earth, people, and animals.

"Extra funds may also help add a skate feature at a Southern Oregon skatepark, where he met many of his friends and continued his friendships into his adult years. He became a well-respected skater on the West Coast from an early age. We envision the opportunity to grant underprivileged kid's skateboarding gear to enhance their safety and lives. Let's all think creatively together and make a lasting contribution to the skateboard community of Southern Oregon in Maddi Heatherstone's honor."
