On October 28, 2020, my mother Liping Shi tragically passed away following an unexpected, catastrophic stroke. She was 56 years young when she was taken from this world, and is survived by my father, my brother, and myself.

If you knew Liping, you would know that she was one of the happiest people in the world to be around, as her smile and laughter would lift up your spirits, and her kindness and compassion would make you feel loved and understood no matter what you were going through.

We have had an outpouring of support this past week and are grateful for all the family, friends, and colleagues who have reached out to express condolences, and who have asked how they can help us out. We have decided to set up this fundraiser to collect donations to support the work done by the American Heart Association, in order to help fight against heart disease, the leading cause of death in the world.
