Hi everyone! My name is SNOWMAN Parker Abe, and I’m raising money, here is my story…
Hi, my name is Parker. I am the creator of the MNF Team Challenge for equestrians it was my idea to bring kids together in a competitive community. Part of our team challenge is to pick an organization and fundraise throughout the season. My organization for this season is the American Heart Association.
This foundation is very near to my heart—no pun intended.
Last year, my mom was unexpectedly diagnosed with a heart valve birth defect. She was given 4 to 6 months to live or she would just drop dead of a heart attack. We didn’t have time as a family to really process all of that. We had to find the best surgeons and do a lot of research quickly. A team of amazing doctors performed a valve replacement and a pulmonary rebuild. Her procedure is called the Ross procedure. They used her own organs and cadaver tissue to rebuild her heart. Thanks to this association, they had the knowledge to perform these amazing surgeries.
17.9 million people of all ages worldwide die of heart disease or malfunctions due to birth defects.
This is why I ask for your support of the AHA.
American Heart Association
The American Heart Association’s mission is to be a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives. The organization’s goal is: Every person deserves the opportunity for a full, healthy life. As champions for health equity, by 2024, the American Heart Association will advance cardiovascular health for all, including identifying and removing barriers to health care access and quality. The Association is the nation's oldest, largest voluntary organization dedicated to fighting heart disease and stroke, powered by over 32 million volunteers and supporters. The AHA is a leading funder and curator of heart and brain research; fights for public health policies; provides lifesaving tools and information; and creates science-based treatment guidelines to help ensure quality health care.
Every contribution, big or small, makes a real impact. Even just a few dollars can help move this mission forward and reach those who need it most.
If you can’t donate right now, sharing this fundraiser is also incredibly helpful. Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity. It means the world to me.
