My name is Kelsy Schoenhaar. I was Kim’s former spouse, devoted friend, and co-parent to our two daughters, Sarah and Kristi—both of whom have disabilities and relied deeply on Kim’s love, care, and steady presence.

Kim died by suicide on July 3, 2025, after a long and excruciating struggle with chronic pain. She fought for years to find relief, and her loss is devastating to all who knew and loved her.

We’re raising funds to help support Sarah and Kristi as they grieve and adjust. Your contribution will help them continue some of the routines and experiences they shared with Kim—things that brought comfort and joy, like:

• Trips to Olbrich Gardens, one of Kim’s favorite places to take them

• Visits to local tea houses they often went to together

• Dance and drum circles, where Kristi regularly participates

• Occasional karaoke nights, something they all enjoyed

• Help with transportation to appointments and performances—which Kim often arranged and accompanied
