In Memory of Kenneth Jones: Aid for Rayla

Donation protected
I am starting this to help raise money for my mother-in-law, Rayla Jones. Her husband of almost 34 years, Kenneth Jones, lost his fight with cancer on Tuesday, February 4th, 2025. My goal is to replenish some of what was spent on his extensive and expensive treatments over the past 5 years. I don’t believe you can put a price on the extra time that this family was able to have with him thanks to those treatments, but the doctors did. Rayla and Ken lost all pension and life insurance benefits when Ken was no longer able to do what he loved at the railroad. He was only a couple years from his union and railroad retirement and he kept working while he was sick with the goal of just reaching September 2028. Unfortunately he came up just short. I know Rayla will be so thankful for any donations that help lighten the financial burden during this deeply difficult time.

Here is what Rayla and her daughter, Skylar, had to say about Ken:

To know him was to love him. And to be loved by him- my god I am the luckiest girl to have him as my daddy. He never failed to crack a joke- even at the most inappropriate time. He could talk to a wall. He knew fun. He loved life. He raised me to always look at the bright side. Always see something positive. My daddy loved. I watched him love my mama everyday. Even on the hard days. He brought flowers home. He sent me chocolate covered strawberries every valentines. He taught me how to do donuts in a snow filled parking lot. He lovvveddd being a papa to his grandbabies. He always answered the phone when I called. He gave the best hugs. I love my daddy so much. Say a prayer for us, please. He went to be with Jesus today.

Kenneth Nealy Jones Jr.....Always a cup half full, forever optimistic. You taught me the art of a good Dad joke and how to not take life so seriously. You were Daddy to two then Poppa to three. For almost 34 years, I have loved you and for forever, I will. You fought long and hard but tonight you rest in the arms of Jesus and your mother. My heart is broken but I am at peace because you are at peace. I'm thankful to have been loved by you.

Every cent will be given directly to Rayla so she can help pay medical debts. Thank you and God Bless.
