In memory of Kelly Stacey

It is with deepest regret that we announce the sudden passing of Kelly. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister and auntie as well as a beloved friend to many and mentor to hundreds of young people over the years.

Kelly had an amazing passion for everything that she did and had a massive community for dance and gymnastics. Kelly has left a massive hole in many people’s lives. Kelly was known for her extraordinary coaching of her well loved team at Invictus Gymnastics which has left the whole community absolutely devastated. Invictus wasn’t just a gymnastics club, it is a gymnastics family. Kelly was so much more than a coach, she was family and a massive inspiration to all her gymnasts, coaches and young leaders. Kelly was also very well known to other clubs around the country.

Kelly was a very strong an independent woman as many of you know. She was fighting a battle with cancer but did very well at masking the pain she was going through to make sure others were always smiling and happy. Especially putting daughter Madeline-Rae, gymnasts and anyone close to her first.

When Kelly wasn’t coaching she was always on the go with her daughter Maddy. She would take Maddy horse riding, to dance lessons and on many adventures. As soon as Kelly received her diagnosis she was adamant she would make as many wonderful memories with Maddy as she could in whatever time she had left with her.

Kelly always knew how to make others smile and had a wicked sense of humour.

We are setting this page up to support her dear daughter Madeline-Rae aged 7, her loving Mum Sheila and family. We would appreciate any donations small or large as this will be a massive help to support the family at this very devastating time in their lives.

As I can probably speak for many, Kelly you were an absolute legend of a woman. You are going to be sadly missed by all that had the pleasure to be in your life. Rest in peace, we know you’re smiling down on us.
