To know Karen was to love Karen. She was a friend to some, Nana Kay to many, and mom to Heidi. She took no crap from anyone, looked out for her people, loved hard, and gave fiercely, even in her final moments
On Thursday, 8/14, Karen suffered a medical emergency she was unable to recover from. On Saturday, 8/16, she spent her final moments surrounded by a whole lot of love, leaving behind many friends and family, including her daughter Heidi, her spouse Jose, and their three children Lily, Manny, and Noah.
During this difficult time, Heidi and her family will need help to offset the unexpected cost of her mom's hospital stay, cremation, and celebration of life services.
