In Memory of Jose Juarez, devoted husband & father

Jose's life was tragically cut short on New Year's Eve when he was shot while crossing the street. At just 34 years old, he had so much more life to live. The ambulance rushed him to VCMC, where the Trauma Team was prepared to receive him. Upon his arrival, Jose was immediately placed on life support, and a CT scan was conducted to assess the extent of his injuries. Sadly, the Trauma doctors determined that the bullet had caused severe damage to his brain, resulting in no blood flow and leaving him brain dead.

The doctors informed us that there was no chance of recovery due to the severity of the damage. They estimated that Jose had approximately an hour left to live before his organs would begin to shut down. It is with great sadness that we share the news that Jose was pronounced dead at 2:22 am.

In this difficult time, we are reaching out to ask for donations to help Jose’s family. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Cassandra, and their children: Elina 12, Hailey 14, Isabella 6, Michael 5, and Joshua 13. Jose was a loving father who adored his children and always prioritized their needs. He never missed an opportunity to attend their school awards or performances, and his presence always brought joy to the room.

Jose had a heart full of compassion and was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. He had a contagious laughter that could light up any room he walked into. When he wasn't spending quality time with his family, he could be found in his garage, passionately working on his cars or enjoying car shows with his youngest son, Michael.

We are devastated by this tragic loss, and any contribution towards helping Jose’s family in their time of need would be greatly appreciated. Let us remember him for the incredible person he was and the love he shared with his family.
