In Memory of John McAteer: Declan's Play Fund

Tam Valley's Bianca McAteer and her son Declan lost their beloved, fun-loving, kind-hearted, father and spouse, John. We lost a dear community member and loyal friend who always had an infectious smile and a helping hand.

By all accounts, John's greatest joy was fatherhood, and Declan was the center of his world. He loved to be with and play with Declan and could always be seen tearing around on bikes, toting him to activities, playing at Kay Park or heading off for countless adventures. Especially camping and skiing.

We hope you can join us in creating a special fund to help keep this magic alive for Declan, whether it's camping, afterschool activities, summer camp or skiing. It feels fitting to honor John's big kid spirit and dedication to Declan by enabling Declan to enjoy these traditions John started.

We hope that when you see Declan at play, it sparks a sweet memory of John's mischievous smile and joy in playing with Declan and his friends.

You will be so missed, John, and we love and support you, Declan and Bianca.
