In Memory of Jessica: Support Her Loved Ones
Donation protected
Dear family and friends
Our mom, Jessica, was traveling for work in Salt Lake City, Utah when she unexpectedly passed away in her sleep on August 9th, 2024. She is now in the loving embrace of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, as well as her mom, Lupe. She passed peacefully and we are eternally grateful for that.
Our mom was a loving mom, grandmother, sister, cousin, niece, aunt, and friend. She grew closer to God in the last years of her short life. She gave her worries and blessings to Him. My mom had a Bible app on her phone, where she read the “Verse of the Day” every day. The last bible verse she read was on Thursday, August 8 and reads “I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race and I have remained faithful.” 2 Timothy 4:7. This verse has given us some comfort during this incredibly difficult time.
She leaves behind her six children; Briana (32), Adriana (30), Alezay (25), Cain (22), Jennesy (20), and Romey (14). Including her four grandchildren; Noah (2), Scarlett (1), Jeremiah (1), and Ezra (4 months). She also leaves behind so many people who loved and cared for her.
With Romey being the youngest and in my mom’s care she wanted to share with everyone how she is coping with the tragic loss: “There’s not much I can say to my mother leaving us other than l am devastated. Thursday night, the last time I got to talk to my mother, she said she was so proud of me for getting through my first day of highschool without her being there and that shes so excited to see me in my jrotc uniform and help me put it on. And that she promises to catch her flight back to California early in the morning on Sunday. Knowing that I wont be able to make my mom proud in person or show her all my accomplishments and hear her feedback hurts me deeply. Im so grateful to have had the mother that I did, and I cherish every big and small moment I got to have with the most loving mom I could have been blessed with.” Romey was the last person my mother spoke to before she passed. They had a conversation over the phone before our mom went to bed and we are glad that it was that way. My mother loved all of us, but Romey was her baby.
If you have any stories, memories, or bible verses you would like to share about our mother please feel free to comment. We know that she touched a lot of peoples lives and we would love to hear about it at her *Celebration of Life.
