In Memory of Guy Meader – Let's Support His Family

Guy Meader was a real-life superhero. A beloved teacher, devoted father, and selfless friend, Guy touched countless lives — not just with his incredible cooking, bad dad jokes, and nerdy love of Star Wars and Star Trek, but with the way he fed our hearts, minds, and spirits.

Guy passed away on May 2nd, after an incredibly brave battle with kidney cancer. Diagnosed in December, he faced his illness with quiet courage, humility, and strength, enduring three rounds of immunotherapy in hopes of more time with his beloved family.

To know Guy was to love him. He was a loving husband to his soulmate Roxanne, and a proud, nurturing father to Leila, Jensen, and Addie. He and Roxanne created a beautiful family rooted in love and kindness — opening their hearts not only to their miracle daughter, Leila, but to foster care and adoption, bringing Jensen and Addie home as their own.

As a teacher, Guy was legendary. Patient, kind, and deeply committed, he made his students feel seen and valued — especially those who struggled. “He taught me not to hate math,” one former student wrote. “He made it fun. I’m a better person because of him.”

Now, it’s our turn to give back to the family that gave so much.

We’ve created this GoFundMe to support Roxanne and the children as they face life without their dad. Raising three kids on a single salary is a huge challenge, and we want to lift some of that financial burden so they can grieve, heal, and continue building the life Guy worked so hard to create.
