Eve helped establish the charity Southern Africa Resource Centre (SARC), and its major programme - Bristol Link with Beira (BLB). Eve was SARC's first development worker and she helped develop and shape the Friendship Link between the two cities. Eve and Paul visited Beira in 1991 to find out more about the city and develop relationships to take the link forward. Beira’s mayor at the time, stayed with Eve and Paul when he made a reciprocal visit to Bristol.

Eve continued to support BLB and was always interested in the work SARC did, with her positive attitude and unassuming manner. She will be very much missed. Eve requested that donations in her memory should go to a children's project in Beira.

BLB have supported community-based organisation Amai Mussanhane (Women Uplifting Women) for many years. They run a pre-school for children from vulnerable families and most recently we have been supporting a meals programme. BLB will ask the women of Amai, how your funds would best benefit the children in their care, in memory of Eve.
