Erik J.D Sebek passed away on October 27th, 2024, at the age of 53 in Canon City, CO. He was born on July 2nd, 1971, in Bitburg, Germany, to his parents Jerry and Helga Sebek. Erik attended Northbrook High School and graduated in 1989. His career path led him to be the Director of Facilities for Fremont County, where he worked with pride and dedication for 13 years.
In 2006, Erik met his wife, Patty, in Slidell, Louisiana. They got married shortly after, and they were blessed with two children, Chloe born on June 30th, 2007, and Aidan born on August 14th, 2008. Erik was a loving husband and father who adored his family. He was also a passionate fan of the Houston Texans.
Erik passed away suddenly, leaving a profound impact on everyone who knew him. He was a healthy, happy, and an exuberant person with a whole life ahead of him. His passing serves as a reminder that life is precious and fragile. Every moment we have with our loved ones is valuable, and we should cherish it, never taking them for granted.
Erik is preceded in death by his mother, Helga, and his grandparents Atli Porbergsson, Kristin, Jerry, and Willa Sebek. He is survived by his wife, Patty, his daughter, Chloe, and his son, Aidan. Erik's father, Jerry, and his siblings, Kristin, Karvel, Anna, Kelton, Gavin, and Sherry, also survive him.
Please join us in his celebration of life on November 3rd at 5:30 pm at Pathfinder Park Event Center, located at 20209 W. State Hwy 115, Florence CO.
In honor of Erik’s love for the Houston Texans we are asking that you all sport their colors to his celebration. In lieu of flowers, please bring your fondest memories to share with the family. Although Erik is deeply missed, his memory and his crazy, wild spirit will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
